ALLE. A word that embodies an attitude. A festival that serves as an invitation. The new visual identity for the Brechtfestival Augsburg 2026 translates this year’s motto, ‘ALLE’, into a visual language: open, direct, vibrant and communal. The design combines clear typography with a strong, accessible visual language, creating a recognisable identity across all formats — from posters, flyers and banners to social media, the web and merchandise.
In February, the festival unfolded across the whole city: with theatre premieres, international guest performances, concerts, readings, workshops and public art interventions.
“ALLE” stands for participation, diversity and openness — in the arts and in society. The festival centre becomes a place for people to come together: to find out more, learn, dance, play or simply spend time together in the inclusive festival café.
New artistic director. New visual identity. And a festival for EVERYONE…

The festival programme booklet:
I’m particularly proud of this format: two books in one. If you turn the programme over, you’ll find the entire content reproduced in easy-to-read language. The texts and design were developed and certified specifically for this purpose.
For me, working on this project was far more than just a creative task. The process showed me how important clear language is for genuine participation – and just how much one can learn in the process.
The motto ‘ALLE’ was not merely communicated here, but consistently put into practice. A festival that strives, at every level, to include as many people as possible.
